Responsibilities

  • Support IT project implementation and collaborate with vendors and consultants.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, proof-of-concepts, technical demonstrations, documentation, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Design, code, test, and implement PowerBuilder and web-based applications.
  • Monitor systems and proactively identify and resolve application issues affecting reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, third-party vendors, and consultants to deliver projects.
  • Perform additional IT projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of post-qualification experience in application development.
  • Experience with PowerBuilder development; PFC experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Java/JEE, EJB, JSF, AJAX, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, React, and Node.js.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, SQL, PL/SQL, Sybase, MySQL, and MSSQL.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix shell scripting and administration and deployment on IBM WebSphere Server and Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Familiarity with API management tools such as Boomi is advantageous.
  • Prior student information systems experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong business acumen, self-direction, results orientation, teamwork, and independent working ability.

  • Initial appointment is a fixed-term contract of two and a half years.
  • Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
