Responsibilities
- Build robust, easy-to-use Kubernetes platforms and tools for engineering teams.
- Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices.
- Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
- Debug problems in cloud-native distributed systems.
- Scope, plan, and define work to meet deadlines.
- Influence and educate the engineering organization on architectural patterns.
- Provide robust documentation for engineers to promote self-service.
- Seek continuous improvement for reliability, operability, and cost efficiency.
- Champion new ideas and cultivate your craft.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering and container orchestration.
- Experience building platforms on Azure or AWS.
- Experience with Kubernetes platforms like AKS or EKS in production at scale.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with code collaboration tools like GitHub or ArgoCD.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure provisioning.
- Knowledge of observability tools for debugging issues.
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Ability to design tooling for operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
- Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.
