Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve aviation operational-efficiency software products.
- Collaborate with international software development, product management, business analysis, customer, and partner teams.
- Contribute to Epic, feature, and story creation, solution design, system architecture, and technical-roadmap alignment.
- Create and maintain software design and architecture documentation.
- Track and actively reduce technical debt.
- Independently execute and deliver backlog work within an Agile team.
- Research industry trends, competitor offerings, aircraft performance, and sustainability advancements.
- Research and recommend system requirements to improve product capabilities.
- Support internal competency development and critical technical skill resources.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical education and experience.
- At least 4 years of related experience through an equivalent combination of education and experience; the typical bachelor’s pathway requires 5–8 years.
- Experience with Flight Management Systems.
- Experience with MATLAB or Python scripting.
- Experience in machine learning and data analytics.
- Experience in deep learning and neural-network models.
- Preferred experience or exposure to flight operations and EFB or flight-deck applications.
- Preferred experience with big-data analytics, Agentic AI, and modeling.
- Preferred familiarity with airplane avionics, network protocols, airplane-system integration, flight-data monitoring, and flight-data analytics.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across products, locations, cultures, and time zones.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical problem-solving, collaboration, and English-language skills.
