Responsibilities
- Participate in business and functional requirements reviews and translate requirements into InsuranceNow technical specifications.
- Analyze requirements and determine whether to use InsuranceNow out-of-the-box solutions or custom solutions.
- Estimate development effort for configuration and integration work.
- Design, develop, and unit test InsuranceNow configurations and customizations.
- Manage software development project deliverables, milestones, budgets, risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.
- Gather requirements, analyze business processes, and create process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features aligned with business and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain a clear, prioritized product backlog.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and development teams regarding product vision and objectives.
- Oversee product feature design and implementation for adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Develop and enhance product functionality using XML Web Services, Core Java, and ANSI SQL.
- Integrate InsuranceNow with existing systems to optimize business processes.
- Review product performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes.
- Provide technical guidance and issue-resolution support to development teams.
- Lead user acceptance testing to validate product features against customer expectations.
- Monitor Property & Casualty Insurance industry trends to inform product development strategy.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on product launch and promotion strategies.
- Ensure product development complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Present delivery status and recommendations to customer leadership and steering committees.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing software development projects is required; Agile methodology experience is highly preferred.
- Hands-on development experience with the Java J2EE platform is required.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with XML Web Services, SOAP, RESTful services, Core Java, and ANSI SQL are required.
- Expertise with the InsuranceNow platform and its application in Property & Casualty Insurance is required.
- Strong requirements-gathering, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and time-management skills are required.
- Ability to work independently, lead teams, manage conflicting priorities, and operate in a multitasking environment is required.
- Ability to hold delivery teams accountable for deliverables and milestones and manage stakeholder expectations is required.
- Proven track record of successful product management is required.
- PMP or CSM certification is preferred.
