Responsibilities
- Develop and architect embedded real-time software using VxWorks, Linux, and other embedded operating systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational requirements, software and hardware interfaces, and system design.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, formal testing, and other software development lifecycle phases.
- Create software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Conduct peer reviews, identify and track defects, and repair software issues.
- Support software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
- Provide occasional customer support travel, approximately 5%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
- At least 8 years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
- Advanced proficiency with C++.
- Experience with high-performance and multithreaded programming.
- Hands-on embedded software development and troubleshooting using an RTOS.
- Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, or networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, or SNMP protocols.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Strong communication, presentation, writing, teamwork, curiosity, and ability to learn beyond the core discipline.
- Previous professional experience with the Department of Defense or intelligence community is preferred.
