Responsibilities

  • Develop and architect embedded real-time software for mission-critical defense and communications systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational requirements, system design, and software-hardware interfaces.
  • Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, troubleshoot, and repair software defects.
  • Develop and troubleshoot software across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of professional software development experience, particularly using object-oriented programming methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Strong C++ skills and experience with high-performance and multithreaded programming are preferred.
  • Hands-on embedded-target development and troubleshooting with an RTOS is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, networking fundamentals, or protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, and SNMP is preferred.
  • DoD or intelligence-community experience, strong communication skills, and solid presentation and writing skills are preferred.
