Responsibilities
- Develop and architect embedded real-time software for mission-critical defense and communications systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational requirements, system design, and software-hardware interfaces.
- Support requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Participate in peer reviews and identify, track, troubleshoot, and repair software defects.
- Develop and troubleshoot software across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 3–4 years of professional software development experience, particularly using object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
- Strong C++ skills and experience with high-performance and multithreaded programming are preferred.
- Hands-on embedded-target development and troubleshooting with an RTOS is preferred.
- Working knowledge of signal processing, control systems theory, networking fundamentals, or protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, IPSec, DDS, and SNMP is preferred.
- DoD or intelligence-community experience, strong communication skills, and solid presentation and writing skills are preferred.
