- Own the technical vision and multi-quarter architectural roadmap for iOS across Workforce Solutions.
- Design, architect, and implement scalable iOS components, shared frameworks, and modular codebases.
- Develop and ship intelligent features powered by on-device models and determine the appropriate split between on-device and cloud inference.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, architectural decisions, solution integration, and mobile/SaaS/web onboarding.
- Set strategy for AI-assisted development tooling while maintaining code quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Raise engineering quality through code and design reviews, test automation, observability, performance work, and release-health improvements.
- Partner with product managers, designers, backend teams, platform teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Coach and mentor engineers and serve as a technical role model.
- Track Apple platform and annual OS/SDK changes and recommend mobile engineering best practices.

- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including 6+ years building and shipping production iOS applications in Swift.
- Experience with Objective-C interoperability in large legacy codebases.
- Deep expertise in iOS frameworks and architecture, including SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency, Combine, MVVM, VIPER, and unidirectional patterns.
- Proven experience architecting modular iOS codebases with feature modularization, dependency injection, and versioned internal frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with on-device machine learning and Apple-platform intelligence using Core ML, Vision, Natural Language, and Foundation Models.
- Understanding of on-device versus server-side inference tradeoffs involving latency, cost, offline capability, model size, and privacy.
- Experience using Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor for AI-assisted development with appropriate code review judgment.
- Expertise with Xcode build systems, Swift Package Manager or CocoaPods, Fastlane, automated release trains, and phased App Store rollouts.
- Strong mobile quality and performance engineering experience with XCTest, XCUITest, snapshot testing, Instruments, crash triage, app-size optimization, cold-start latency, and battery/network efficiency.
- Experience with mobile security and compliance, including secure storage, Keychain, biometric authentication, and secure API/token handling.
- Ability to translate customer and design insights into mockups, wireframes, proof-of-concept code, and accessible, internationalized iOS implementations.
- Knowledge of server-side development processes and API and contract design.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues, build alignment without formal authority, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred experience includes large-scale consumer mobile applications, Apple Intelligence integrations, model conversion and quantization, LLM-backed product features, large multi-team or monorepo environments, experimentation and feature flagging, KMP or React Native, and fintech or other privacy-regulated domains.
