Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps strategy, platform architecture, automation standards, and technical roadmaps across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for applications, APIs, databases, data platforms, and infrastructure deployments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and cloud-native technologies.
- Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Establish observability, DevSecOps, release governance, platform reliability, and operational excellence practices.
- Lead large-scale modernization initiatives, cloud migrations, DevOps transformations, or platform engineering programs.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and communicate recommendations, risks, and trade-offs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of IT engineering experience, including significant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and technical leadership.
- Expertise with enterprise CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience, particularly with Terraform, and experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, deployment automation, and cloud-native platform operations.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep understanding of Linux administration, networking, identity and access management, security controls, and production operations.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and service health reporting.
- Preferred experience includes pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, laboratory informatics, scientific research, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, compliance-driven environments, AI/ML platforms, MLOps, scientific workflows, high-volume data processing, analytics ecosystems, GxP, computer system validation, electronic records, data integrity, audit readiness, FinOps, and cloud cost optimization.
- Industry certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Security, Site Reliability Engineering, Agile, or ITIL are helpful.
