Responsibilities
- Evolve platform primitives and APIs for authentication, automatic refreshes, triggers, tool search, tool planning, and sandbox orchestration.
- Manage multiple code-execution runtimes across Lambda and Firecracker.
- Optimize performance through tracing, CPU and heap profiling, database-query optimization, and Temporal workflow optimization.
- Work with product engineering teams and customers to support workloads and improve the product.
- Write clear technical documentation.
Requirements
- Strong core platform engineering experience.
- Extensive experience scaling backend distributed systems.
- Ability to maintain reliable systems while shipping quickly.
- Comfort working across multiple parts of a platform simultaneously.
- Experience building with and for language models.
- Comfort working in a Linux environment.
- Strong technical writing and ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Optional: multiple years of experience writing TypeScript or Go.
- Optional: contributions to a major open-source project.
- Optional: experience starting companies or building large side projects.
