Base Salary

$200k - $225k/yr

Responsibilities

Evolve core data models and APIs and help transition the platform from point-to-point architecture to a resilient event-driven system.
Drive reliable, scalable engineering practices, including integration and end-to-end testing.
Lead development and maintenance of third-party integrations such as EHR systems and build clean, documented APIs.
Build systems that ingest, process, and interpret real-time data from hardware devices.
Mentor engineers in distributed systems, AWS best practices, and secure development.
Collaborate with engineering leadership, product, data science, and other engineering teams.

8+ years of backend or full-stack development experience building scalable, cloud-native applications.
Deep expertise with AWS infrastructure, including Lambda, Fargate, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS.
Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js; React experience is a plus.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
Strong understanding of data modeling for scalable and performant APIs.
Active use of AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code for automation, long-running processes, and complex integrations.
Ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems and deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills across product, data science, and engineering teams.
Startup experience is a plus.
