Responsibilities
- Build, test, deploy, and support production data pipelines, transformations, dashboards, and ML/GenAI components on Google Cloud.
- Build and migrate data using BigQuery, Dataflow, Datastream, and Cloud Composer.
- Develop Looker dashboards and semantic models and support customer segmentation and personalization use cases.
- Train, deploy, and monitor models using Vertex AI Pipelines and BigQuery ML.
- Build and support real-time streaming pipelines using Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
- Participate in client discussions, clarify requirements, communicate progress and risks, and estimate assigned tasks.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code; participate in peer reviews; and resolve data quality and performance issues.
- Apply DataOps/MLOps, CI/CD, and Terraform-based infrastructure practices while contributing reusable assets and supporting junior team members.
Requirements
- Hands-on production experience building data or ML solutions on Google Cloud.
- Solid programming skills in Python and SQL; Java, Scala, or Apache Beam exposure is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer or Dataform.
- Exposure to Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, Gemini models, and basic retrieval-augmented generation patterns.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Terraform fundamentals, automated testing, IAM, and secrets management.
- Familiarity with at least one domain: data platform modernization, analytics and BI, generative AI, or Customer 360.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills and ability to work in an Agile team.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Data Engineer certification is preferred, including certification in progress.
- Looker/LookML, Dataplex, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and onshore/offshore team experience are preferred.
