Responsibilities

  • Design requirements for small systems or modules of medium and large-scale systems and create technical documentation.
  • Apply software engineering principles and contribute to release, code review, and design review processes.
  • Use modern software development practices and integrate systems with existing corporate product platforms.
  • Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to translate business requirements into solutions.
  • Work collaboratively on an engineering team and leverage automation within the scope of assigned efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science, math, or computer studies.
  • At least 1 year of Java software programming experience.
  • Experience with backend technologies including Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SOA, and microservices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or XP.
  • Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Experience with Atlassian tooling including JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.
  • Preferred: at least 6 months of cloud technology experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  • Preferred: an active cloud certification.
