Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable Java backend services, platform components, middleware systems, APIs, distributed services, and cloud-native applications.
- Build reusable frameworks, libraries, tools, and developer utilities to improve engineering productivity.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, performance optimization, scalability improvements, and reliability initiatives.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and engineering teams on CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot distributed systems issues across services, databases, messaging systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Contribute to monitoring, resiliency, production support, debugging, root cause analysis, code reviews, and operational visibility.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development for SaaS products or distributed systems.
- Strong Java programming skills with understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, concurrency, and system design fundamentals.
- Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
- Experience with or exposure to messaging technologies, CI/CD and DevOps tools, relational and NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms.
- Understanding of scalability, resiliency, observability, production-grade system design, SQL optimization, and data modeling.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: experience with cloud security, cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, performance engineering, observability tools, large-scale distributed systems, or cloud-native platforms.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, MCP integrations, agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, LLM-based automation, and SRE concepts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
