Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex software features and services using scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Drive adoption and measure the engineering impact of GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI, and Claude.
- Lead architecture reviews, code quality initiatives, and engineering best-practice activities.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers while strengthening team capability and engineering culture.
- Collaborate with senior architects on platform design decisions and technical roadmaps.
- Resolve complex technical incidents through advanced debugging and problem-solving.
- Use Claude and ChatGPT to create technical design documents, engineering RFCs, and knowledge-base articles.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of software development experience, including technical leadership of complex features or systems.
- Expert proficiency in Java, Python, Go, TypeScript, REST APIs, microservices, and AWS cloud-native development.
- Ability to lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
- Experience with AWS and modern software delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred experience using GitHub Copilot, AWS CodeWhisperer, Cursor AI, Claude, and ChatGPT for engineering work.
- Preferred deep knowledge of AWS services and cloud-native patterns for mission-critical airline software.
- Preferred understanding of the airline technology engineering landscape.
