Responsibilities
- Develop scalable enterprise applications and portals using Java and the J2EE stack.
- Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and performant cloud systems.
- Provide programming, analysis, design, development, delivery, and ongoing support for software solutions.
- Improve application reliability, scalability, performance, monitoring, automation, incident management, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, technology vendors, business units, and global teams across multiple time zones.
- Ensure technical designs and implementations align with architectural standards, business needs, infrastructure capabilities, and security and compliance requirements.
- Provide technical guidance, assist with project scoping and estimation, evaluate emerging technologies, and mentor development teams.
- Monitor live services for availability, latency, and system health and identify operational or resiliency gaps.
- Develop reliable integrations with vendors and acquired entities while meeting security and quality standards.
Requirements
- At least three years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience with Java 8, Spring Boot 3.X, REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, Postgres, NoSQL databases, Hibernate, and software development tools.
- Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful API development, microservices development, and DevOps and IT operations best practices.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science, or extensive work experience in place of the degree.
- Familiarity with performance tuning, designing for failure, automation, cloud systems, and application health monitoring.
- Strong written, verbal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with global teams across US, Canada, Dublin, and India time zones.
- Azure or AWS and Snowflake experience is preferred.
