Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance software that meets business requirements.
- Perform batch and online mainframe software development and maintenance.
- Propose technical solutions and serve as a technical lead for the team.
- Lead automation, defect metrics, code quality, and broader quality initiatives.
- Maintain and present project-related metrics for management review.
- Coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, internal groups, and vendors.
- Guide junior talent and help teams implement appropriate solutions.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with software development and full lifecycle development projects.
- Proficiency with COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL, PROC, Micro Focus COBOL, TWS Scheduler, and DB2 LUW.
- Experience with batch and online development.
- Experience with CI and CD.
- Experience with automation and code quality initiatives.
- Understanding of the payments and cards industry is preferred.
- Exposure to Java/J2EE and Spring Boot is an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to guide people in implementing solutions.
