Base Salary
$167k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement IT systems for DigitalOcean's Droplet product.
- Analyze metrics with Observability teams to enhance products and services.
- Engage in peer reviews for system changes.
- Contribute to retrospectives for continuous improvement in software engineering.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure reliable service.
- Maintain the existing low-level virtual machine stack for future updates.
- Accelerate virtualization for next-gen GPU platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate new hardware.
- Drive the evolution of Linux virtualization technologies with open source communities.
- Backport and deploy software patches for new features and security fixes.
- Suggest improvements to code release pipelines.
- Participate in a regular on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems.
- Proficiency in C programming.
