Responsibilities
- Design and build governance, security, and privacy services integrated with existing technical services.
- Define how AI agents, tools, and MCP servers are authenticated, scoped, and observed across teams.
- Lead architecture, security, threat-modeling, test-strategy, code-standard, and design reviews across business units.
- Make technical decisions on ambiguous problems and establish patterns adopted by other Adobe teams.
- Use AI-assisted development responsibly and improve agentic-component quality through evaluations, guardrails, and quality gates.
- Mentor engineers and help shape hiring.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership across teams.
- Deep hands-on expertise with identity and authorization, including OAuth 2.0/OIDC, RBAC/ABAC, and policy engines such as OPA or Cedar.
- Practical knowledge of production agentic systems and trade-offs involving tools, guardrails, latency, costs, and failure modes.
- Expertise in Python and working proficiency in Java.
- Experience leading the architecture of distributed production services on AWS and/or Azure and Kubernetes, including data stores, reliability, security, and observability.
- Clear written and verbal communication in English.
- Preferred: formal design authority or RFC authorship across organizations or business units.
- Preferred: experience with responsible AI frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act.
- Preferred: privacy engineering involving data minimization and GDPR.
- Preferred: open-source or published work in authorization, policy, or agent security.
