Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver software solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain reliable algorithms and services.
- Produce and maintain architecture and design artifacts while adhering to design constraints.
- Implement and continuously improve reliability practices and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and production support partners to resolve issues and prevent customer impact.
- Analyze large datasets to generate insights, visualizations, and reporting for application and system improvement.
- Use authorized AI capabilities for troubleshooting and operational analysis while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
- Participate in engineering communities of practice and emerging-technology events.
- Perform production support and on-call duties, including incident triage, mitigation, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Working knowledge of reliability principles including availability, scalability, incident management, and iterative improvement.
- Expert-level Python programming and experience building APIs with frameworks such as Flask and Fast API.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in large-scale distributed environments.
- Experience maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with monitoring, service-level-objective alerting, and telemetry collection and visualization.
- Knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes in a relevant discipline such as cloud or artificial intelligence.
- Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
- Ability to use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and validate their correctness, performance, security, and data handling.
- Preferred experience in financial institutions, especially Front Office platforms and time-sensitive, high-availability workloads.
- Preferred knowledge of Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, FinOps, cloud financial management, and cost optimization.
