Responsibilities
- Lead discovery with customer engineers, identify bottlenecks, and define success metrics.
- Design and build Cursor-powered workflows for refactors, migrations, code review, incident response, and specification-to-implementation systems.
- Ship rapid initial versions and harden them into reliable production systems with rollout plans, monitoring, and iteration.
- Own production quality through tracing, evaluations, metrics, model-behavior debugging, latency and cost tradeoffs, and failure-mode analysis.
- Work directly with Staff, Platform, and Engineering leaders to communicate tradeoffs and results.
- Convert customer-built solutions into reusable patterns and improve the core Cursor product.
Requirements
- Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production rather than only prototypes.
- Experience debugging real-world model failures and handling production reliability, including metrics, alerts, safe rollouts, and incident response.
- Ability to lead discovery conversations and take accountability for customer outcomes.
- Ability to build end-to-end across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and prompt iteration as needed.
- Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript skills, with the ability to ramp quickly on new stacks.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and turn unclear problems into scoped, shipped systems.
