Base Salary
$133k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly available and scalable infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and bare-metal environments.
- Write Python or Go code to eliminate manual toil and build self-healing systems.
- Implement observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, and define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Serve as a lead Incident Commander, develop response playbooks, conduct post-incident analyses, and participate in 24/7 on-call coverage.
- Partner with engineering teams on operability reviews and drive reliability, scalability, and service maturity.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience managing reliability, scalability, and availability for large-scale production services, with deep programming expertise in Python, Go, or C/C++.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, Linux or FreeBSD systems, and distributed architecture.
- Experience with high-stakes incident management and 24/7 on-call rotations.
- Proficiency with ITIL frameworks, incident data, systematic problem management, and technical operability reviews.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience applying AI-driven solutions within the functional domain.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-driven AIOps, anomaly detection, predictive capacity planning, AWS, Azure, GCP, Ansible, Terraform, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, BGP, GRE, IPSec, HAProxy, DNS, and OS networking internals.
