Responsibilities
- Advise leadership on complex applications, infrastructure, security, database, operating system, and web technology needs across multiple groups.
- Lead enterprise strategy and resolution for complex platform, cloud, infrastructure SRE, Kubernetes/OpenShift, observability, and reliability challenges.
- Design and evolve standardized cloud platforms, self-service capabilities, automation solutions, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Drive platform modernization, cloud transformation, operational resiliency, scalability, and engineering efficiency initiatives.
- Define engineering standards, architecture patterns, governance, and platform strategies across large organizations.
- Influence senior leaders, architects, and engineering teams while serving as an expert technical advisor.
- Mentor senior engineers and promote continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, DevSecOps, infrastructure engineering, or SRE.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing engineering automation solutions, CI/CD, or Infrastructure as Code.
- At least 5 years of experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or comparable container platforms.
- At least 5 years of experience leading enterprise-scale platform modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
- At least 3 years of experience defining engineering standards, architecture patterns, or platform strategies.
- At least 3 years of experience with software delivery, automation, security, and operational resiliency practices.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive engineering outcomes across large organizations.
- Preferred experience includes SRE principles, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident management, observability, resiliency engineering, disaster recovery, governance, and enterprise platform operations.
- Preferred experience includes Splunk, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, cloud platform certifications, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or Red Hat OpenShift certifications.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, organizational leadership, and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value are preferred.
