Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end engineering deliverables across the Research Platform.
- Architect and design platform-first solutions that balance multiple stakeholder needs.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions with product managers and engineering teams.
- Champion engineering best practices and contribute to the evolution of the agentic software development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers while fostering technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Evaluate emerging tools and frameworks and contribute to the team’s technology strategy.
- Drive adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including AI-assisted code review, refactoring, test strategy, incident analysis, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards covering secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible AI use.
Requirements
- Proven ability to independently own complex engineering deliverables involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on full-stack software engineering experience and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience architecting scalable and resilient applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve complex technical challenges independently.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, including validating and refining AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: experience in financial services or regulated technology environments.
- Preferred: understanding of financial research.
- Preferred: experience delivering engineering outcomes using an agentic SDLC.
- Preferred: ability to manage technology portfolio risks and controls.
