Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team evolution of robotic platform patterns and edge runtimes for interoperability at scale.
- Develop robotic studio experiences for different robotic fleets.
- Define versioning, deprecation, API lifecycle, compatibility, and rollout strategies.
- Drive observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience, capacity planning, availability, and scalability improvements.
- Design, implement, test, debug, optimize, and maintain complex software systems and services.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching, lead code reviews, and uphold architectural, coding, security, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot complex API, integration, maintenance, and customer-reported issues and implement fixes.
- Create migration guides, adoption playbooks, documentation, and customer issue-handling processes.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects, delegate and prioritize work, and provide technical oversight.
- Participate in candidate interviews and provide hiring recommendations.
Requirements
- Advanced software development and architecture knowledge with the ability to design scalable solutions and resolve complex issues.
- Experience with software testing, quality assurance, debugging, monitoring, observability, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Ability to implement API versioning, lifecycle, interoperability, secure coding, and resilience strategies.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, coach junior engineers, collaborate across teams, and coordinate project execution.
- Ability to work with stakeholders and customers to understand issues and align technical solutions.
