Responsibilities
- Design, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and AI models on GPU servers, cloud platforms, and edge devices.
- Process structured and unstructured datasets, including imagery and sensor data.
- Develop data pipelines and model deployment workflows from cloud to edge.
- Integrate AI and machine learning models into applications, embedded systems, ECUs, and vehicle platforms.
- Develop software modules supporting vehicle intelligence, connectivity, automation, and advanced features.
- Test embedded and AI-enabled applications across hardware, vehicle networks, and software environments.
- Use simulation environments and testing frameworks to validate algorithms, models, and system functionality.
- Conduct experiments and benchmark algorithms for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Support software integration, over-the-air capabilities, and vehicle software lifecycle activities.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, system architecture development, and innovation activities.
- Document system designs, test procedures, model behavior, performance metrics, and experimental results.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, data science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, embedded systems, software development, or statistics.
- Programming experience with Python, C++, or other relevant programming or scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Interest in applying AI and software technologies to real-world engineering and product challenges.
- Willingness to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, for the summer internship.
- Preferred experience includes TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, computer vision, image processing, GPU or NPU computing, edge AI, model optimization, embedded software, CAN, AUTOSAR, cloud-to-edge architectures, data pipelines, simulation, testing, and automated validation frameworks.
