Base Salary
$154k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable backend services for provisioning, licensing, entitlements, approvals, orchestration workflows, and subscription lifecycle management.
- Build API-first platform services with secure service-to-service communication.
- Architect resilient workflow-driven systems with asynchronous processing, retries, rollback handling, durable state management, messaging, and orchestration technologies.
- Design platform capabilities for Agentic AI-guided provisioning, workflow automation, recommendations, troubleshooting, and operational insights.
- Drive platform reliability, observability, auditability, developer productivity, technical direction, reusable frameworks, SDKs, tooling, automation, and mentoring.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale backend, platform, distributed-systems, or cloud-native applications.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot experience building production-grade microservices and APIs.
- Experience with resiliency, idempotency, retries, fault tolerance, transactional workflows, eventual consistency, and durable state management.
- Experience with REST, gRPC, OpenAPI, OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, audit logging, and secure service-to-service communication.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka or RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Redis, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and production operations.
- Curiosity about and practical use of AI tools, with a history of integrating new technologies into workflows.
- Preferred experience with provisioning, licensing, entitlements, commerce, billing, subscription lifecycle, internal developer platforms, workflow orchestration, domain-driven design, event-driven architectures, Agentic AI, LLM workflows, tool calling, RAG, or AI-assisted experiences.
- Python/FastAPI, Go, React, Next.js, or Material UI experience is a plus.
