Responsibilities
- Define and maintain end-to-end architecture across mobile, API, ML pipeline, cloud, and data layers.
- Design scalable multi-region Azure infrastructure and architecture for high-volume global field usage.
- Architect computer vision model inference, deployment, versioning, continuous learning, and A/B testing systems.
- Establish iOS and Android architecture standards for image capture, geo-fencing, local caching, synchronization, and offline-first workflows.
- Design Salesforce, SDK, backend, API, event-driven, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Own reliability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, storage lifecycle, incident root-cause analysis, and infrastructure monitoring architecture.
- Define security, authentication, device protection, data residency, retention, minimization, and privacy-by-design standards for GPS, biometric, and imagery data.
- Present architecture proposals and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Produce TRDs, PRDs, system diagrams, ADRs, integration maps, and other architecture documentation.
- Mentor engineering teams on product architecture standards and best practices.
Requirements
- 12–15+ years of experience in software or product architecture roles, including at least 3 years with mobile-first or AI/ML-integrated platforms.
- Proven experience architecting cloud-native platforms on Azure, including API Management, Functions, Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.
- Hands-on experience with ML inference infrastructure such as KubeRay, Ray Serve, TorchServe, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong iOS and/or Android architecture experience, including offline-first design patterns.
- Experience with computer vision, image recognition, or retail execution platforms is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Azure as the primary cloud and AWS or GCP as secondary platforms.
- Experience with iOS technologies, Android technologies, React Native, and Flutter.
- Knowledge of model serving, MLOps, computer vision model deployment, object detection, and classification.
- Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, Kafka, and Service Bus.
- Experience with Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Databricks, cloud storage lifecycle management, and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure monitoring, and alerting.
- Strong communication, executive presentation, cross-functional collaboration, ownership, risk management, and technical documentation skills.
- Prior FMCG, CPG, or retail technology experience is a significant advantage.
