Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deliver Camera ISP tuning optimized for autonomous-vehicle use cases.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on camera specifications, system definition, software development, image-quality tuning, and evaluation.
- Design and execute objective and subjective image-quality evaluations using lab charts and real-world scenes.
- Develop GM-specific test scripts and image-quality specification analysis tools.
- Optimize HDR sensor configurations and ISP settings for autonomous-driving scenarios.
- Perform ISP characterization, image-quality tuning, troubleshooting, and evaluation with sensor-validation and vehicle-fleet teams.
- Collaborate with machine learning engineers and hardware teams on autonomous-vehicle sensing strategy.
- Develop techniques and conduct studies to optimize ISP performance for machine perception.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in imaging science, electrical engineering, computer science, or a similar field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in camera ISP tuning and evaluation.
- Hands-on experience tuning AE, AWB, HDR processing, noise reduction, sharpness, tone mapping, and color-tuning ISP modules.
- Experience with different ISP architectures, camera development, image-sensor characterization, and image-sensor settings.
- Experience with at least one image-quality evaluation software, preferably Imatest.
- Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience in image processing and data analysis.
- Preferred: automotive ISP tuning, firmware design, real-time systems, vendor management, manufacturing processes, sensor-level image-quality optimization, computer-vision or machine-learning camera optimization, and evaluation of sensor hardware and optical-design impacts.
