Base Salary
$136k - $176k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own integration architecture for reliable AI-agent operations across Checkr systems and third-party platforms.
- Build production API integrations using secure authentication, webhooks, event-driven patterns, and automation workflows.
- Develop structured data pipelines, normalized schemas, JSON inputs, workflow standards, and observable systems.
- Implement AI guardrails, validation rules, safety checks, prompt improvements, and output-quality evaluation.
- Identify integration gaps and failure modes, lead high-impact technical projects, document architecture, and mentor others.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in automation platforms, integration architecture, or AI-enabled operations.
- Deep expertise in API design, OAuth or token-based authentication, webhooks, event-driven systems, retries, observability, and failure handling.
- Strong JavaScript and Python expertise for backend logic, scripting, and internal tooling.
- Solid SQL experience and advanced experience with JSON, schemas, and data normalization for LLM and automation use cases.
- Hands-on production experience with LLM-powered agents or automations, including guardrails, output validation, and prompt-engineering frameworks.
- Experience designing end-to-end integration architectures and anticipating API changes, schema drift, and downstream impacts.
- Familiarity with CRM and support-system integrations such as Salesforce and Zendesk.
- Preferred experience with Tray.io, Make, Zapier, UiPath, Snowflake, Salesforce or Zendesk integrations, front-end widgets or embeds, and operations technology.
- Strong systems thinking, engineering rigor, communication, ownership, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
