Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate WHOOP’s Kubernetes clusters on AWS.
- Drive architectural decisions for scalability, resiliency, performance, and security.
- Build systems to increase deployment safety and accelerate release velocity.
- Advance CI/CD capabilities for reliable production deployments.
- Lead developer productivity improvements through tooling and automation.
- Partner with teams to embed secure infrastructure practices.
- Participate in incident response and postmortems to improve reliability.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on the team.
- Help define and execute the long-term infrastructure roadmap.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering roles.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and core components.
- Strong knowledge of container networking concepts.
- Experience with multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Hands-on experience operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
- Experience developing backend services using Java, C#, or Python.
- Proven ability to evaluate system performance and drive improvements.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
