Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs powering core product functionality.
- Develop and ship full-stack features from backend services through customer-facing interfaces.
- Build reliable infrastructure for high-performance, real-time applications.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, leadership, and founders to define and deliver capabilities.
- Design systems that scale with product usage and complexity.
- Improve platform reliability, observability, monitoring, and operational tooling.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy.
- Optimize platform performance, security, and developer experience.
- Help establish engineering best practices and a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Advanced proficiency with TypeScript and modern backend development practices.
- Experience building scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
- Strong understanding of databases, data modeling, and system architecture.
- Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or asynchronous processing.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments with strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with edge computing, serverless architectures, distributed platforms, highly available systems, or significant scale is preferred.
- Exposure to AI-powered products, LLM infrastructure, or agent-based systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, tracing, and incident management practices is preferred.
- Startup or high-growth experience, full-stack customer-facing product development, and experience establishing engineering standards are preferred.
