Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate core AWS infrastructure supporting a multi-tenant cloud platform used daily by production customers.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines so application teams can ship safely and frequently without relying on the platform team for every change.
- Lead infrastructure architecture and code reviews and challenge designs that will not scale.
- Automate recurring operational work and build self-service tooling for other engineers.
- Own projects from problem identification through implementation and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles, including at least 3+ years of deep AWS production experience.
- Strong networking fundamentals, including VPC design, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, multi-account architecture, AWS Organizations, and SCPs.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD, including GitOps patterns and artifact registries.
- Hands-on observability experience with CloudWatch, Datadog, or Grafana for metrics, logging, and alerting.
- Experience designing IAM policies at scale, including least-privilege roles, permission boundaries, and cross-account access.
- Working knowledge of AWS production data stores including RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
- Strong hands-on Terraform experience covering module design, state management, workspace and environment strategy, and team- or enterprise-scale operation.
- Experience operating with significant ownership and judgment in a scale-up environment.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes in production, including cluster upgrades and workload migrations.
- Preferred experience with policy-as-code and compliance tooling such as OPA, Sentinel, AWS Config, and SOC 2 environments.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud is preferred.
- Relevant preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist.
