Responsibilities
- Embed within client teams to understand workflows and frame business opportunities as AI problems.
- Lead AI solution delivery end to end, including design, building, testing, deployment, and iteration in production.
- Set technical direction, make architectural decisions, and defend them to client engineering and security teams.
- Build integrations, permissions, hosting, and data-access foundations with client IT teams.
- Prove value at small scale, productise successful solutions, and build a pipeline of future use cases.
- Help clients develop their own capabilities while mentoring engineers and raising delivery standards through reviews and pairing.
- Track AI and technology developments and apply technical innovation to client challenges.
Requirements
- Excellent programming and system design skills with recent hands-on Python experience and ideally one of C#/.NET, Java, Rust, or C++.
- Substantial production experience with AI or machine learning systems, including LLMs, prompt design, agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, and retrieval pipelines.
- Experience with APIs and integrations, SQL, Azure or AWS, version control, CI/CD, and security and access considerations for client environments.
- Ability to own projects from start to finish in ambiguous settings and exercise judgment about what to build, buy, or omit.
- Experience working directly with clients or business stakeholders and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Entrepreneurial ownership, strong problem-solving ability, curiosity, adaptability, and interest in understanding business domains.
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
- Financial services experience is a bonus but is not required.
