Responsibilities
- Drive software feature planning, integration, validation, and commercialization against product release schedules.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to enable features and deliver software on time.
- Lead software release execution while maintaining process compliance, quality standards, and release management practices.
- Drive issue triage, debugging, technical reviews, and resolution of runtime, build, and system integration problems.
- Identify risks, align engineering and business stakeholders, and execute mitigation plans.
- Manage software integration workflows, configuration management, release processes, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Improve development and validation workflows to increase release efficiency, quality, and predictability.
- Facilitate communication across geographically distributed technical and business teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree and 5+ years or a PhD and 4+ years.
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, system software integration, or software commercialization is stated in the general qualifications.
- Strong C programming, debugging, scripting, software integration, release management, and configuration management skills.
- Experience with real-time embedded systems, operating systems, multitasking, multithreading, and system software development.
- Experience troubleshooting complex runtime, build, integration, hardware/software, stability, performance, and power issues.
- Preferred experience with end-to-end embedded/SoC bring-up, integration, stabilization, validation, commercialization, and major software baseline upgrades.
- Preferred experience with Linux kernel, BSP, compiler/toolchain, release readiness, regression assessment, blocker disposition, customer/OEM escalations, and commercialization activities.
- Familiarity with JTAG, GDB, crash-dump analysis, system tracing, UART, ADB/Fastboot, platform diagnostics, Git or Perforce, CI/Jenkins, build integration, and release branches.
- Hands-on Python or Shell scripting experience for build, validation, debugging, testing, or log-analysis automation.
- Ability to produce technical notes, root-cause analysis reports, release documentation, and customer-facing technical communications.
- Previous experience as a Technical Lead, Platform Integration Lead, or System Integration Lead while remaining hands-on.
- Strong program management, planning, organizational, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional execution skills.
