Responsibilities
- Develop, design, document, validate, unit test, and support software applications and components for Smart Grid solutions.
- Serve as technical lead for larger projects and establish technical direction while monitoring project metrics.
- Create functional requirements, detailed designs, code, test procedures, estimates, and technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards, best practices, and high-quality output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve sustaining issues and identify opportunities for technical and product improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Project Management, R&D, architecture, cloud infrastructure, SMEs, business partners, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior developers and engineers, participate in recruiting, provide feedback, and support training and knowledge sharing.
- Lead component and solution design, development, documentation, validation, and functional-area continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6–10 years of extensive software development experience.
- Expertise with .NET Core, Helm, and C#.
- Strong knowledge of SOAP Web Services, REST APIs, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, RKE2, and Kafka messaging.
- Experience with database scripting using PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Experience with agile or iterative software design processes and relevant development or validation methodologies.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, advanced design and development skills, project leadership, communication, critical thinking, and mentoring abilities.
- Experience with electric, gas, or water meters; IoT devices; LwM2M, LTE, DLMS, ANSI, Wi-SUN, AMI, or Smart Grid systems is a plus.
