Base Salary
$295k - $354k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead data engineering standards for batch and streaming feature pipelines, table design, observability, and documentation across the Economy group.
- Build and deploy high-scale, reliable real-time and batch data systems for content recommendation, search, and personalization.
- Architect event taxonomies, logging interfaces, and real-time feature serving across product surfaces.
- Partner with Product, Data Science, and ML Engineering to prioritize data initiatives, support business goals, and reduce technical debt.
- Mentor data engineering and machine learning engineers on schema design, client logging, experimentation data, and feature pipelines.
- Research and apply industry practices while collaborating with platform and partner teams to deliver product impact.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience as a product-focused data systems engineer, preferably with search, recommendation, advertising, or personalization systems.
- Experience designing efficient logging schemas and optimizing data processing pipelines.
- Experience with real-time stream processing and batch processing.
- Familiarity with feature stores and other machine learning infrastructure.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, influence product direction, solve ambiguous problems analytically, and mentor other engineers.
- Experience with several languages and technologies and the ability to adapt to different technical situations.
