Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, enhance, and maintain software components as part of larger projects.
- Build and maintain automated testing solutions for Android applications, GCP-based applications, distributed microservices, and REST APIs.
- Create and maintain software functionality and design documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Recommend tools, methodologies, and solutions that improve software performance, productivity, scalability, and quality.
- Assist less experienced staff and collaborate with internal teams, organizational units, and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant master’s degree.
- At least 2 years of relevant software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, or no prior experience with a relevant master’s degree.
- Three to six years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar software role is stated elsewhere in the posting.
- Hands-on experience testing and automating Android applications.
- Experience validating GCP-based applications, distributed microservices, and REST APIs.
- Deep proficiency in Python and extensive experience building automation from scratch with Robot Framework.
- Experience with software development frameworks, operating systems, algorithms, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working successfully with Agile/Scrum project execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience using AI tools in engineering workflows or demonstrated willingness to adopt AI and emerging technologies.
