Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Develop automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications and Appium for Android and iOS applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Develop reusable automation components and improve framework scalability and maintainability.
- Perform API testing and automation using Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API, or equivalent tools.
- Analyze test failures, application logs, and defects to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, test strategy, and automation coverage discussions.
- Improve test coverage, execution time, reliability, and overall product quality.
- Track defects and testing activities using JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in QA automation, SDET, or software testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation and Playwright for web/UI automation.
- Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python, with preference for JavaScript/TypeScript when using Playwright.
- Understanding of Android and iOS application testing, including cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Knowledge of automation framework design, including Page Object Model and reusable test components.
- Experience with API testing and automation.
- Experience with version-control systems such as Git.
- Hands-on experience integrating automation tests with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, defect lifecycle, and testing methodologies.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, root-cause-analysis, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
