Responsibilities
- Architect scalable ingestion pipelines for egocentric video, teleoperation sessions, sensor streams, and third-party datasets.
- Design cross-modal validation and hidden-state inference systems for video, proprioception, force, haptic, and language data.
- Orchestrate hand tracking, segmentation, depth estimation, 3D reconstruction, pose tracking, and kinematic retargeting modules.
- Implement spatial, temporal, viewpoint, and sensor-noise augmentation for robotics trajectories and multimodal data.
- Synchronize state and action representations across robots, sensors, coordinate frames, rotation conventions, parameterizations, and sampling rates.
- Build dataset query, visualization, auditing, annotation-review, and failure-analysis tooling.
- Create temporal segmentation, metadata and scene-graph extraction, embedding-based retrieval, and language annotation workflows.
- Validate synthesized data through kinematic feasibility checks, physics replay, and motion-consistency filtering.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in Python and extensive experience with PyTorch custom dataloaders for multimodal datasets.
- Experience processing force-torque sensor, load-cell, or tactile-array time-series data and aligning it with visual frames.
- Mastery of video-processing pipelines using OpenCV, FFmpeg, or Decord, including terabyte-scale video I/O.
- Working knowledge of 3D geometry, coordinate frames and transforms, rotation representations, camera intrinsics and extrinsics, forward and inverse kinematics, and URDF.
- Proven ability to implement programmatic and generative augmentation for computer-vision and time-series data.
- Experience with NVIDIA robotics software or datasets such as Open X-Embodiment, DROID, AgiBot World, or EgoDex is a bonus.
- Familiarity with segmentation, monocular depth, hand and body pose estimation, 6-DoF object pose tracking, and point tracking is a bonus.
- Familiarity with Ray or Apache Spark for distributed cluster computing is a bonus.
- Background generating or using synthetic robotic data with Omniverse or MuJoCo is a bonus.
- Experience integrating spatial-awareness or tactile-data representations into visual pipelines is a bonus.
