Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure patterns.
- Own operational health, define SLOs and SLIs, improve MTTR, and implement incident response and on-call practices.
- Improve build systems, containerization, and deployment tooling using appropriate third-party and open-source components.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, Product, and Security to align delivery pipelines with product roadmaps.
- Implement secure-by-default configurations, secrets management, compliance automation, and testing gates.
- Drive initiatives that reduce toil, improve developer productivity, and enhance observability and reliability.
- Mentor peers, document learnings, influence technical decisions, and elevate engineering quality.
Requirements
- Typically 4–6+ years of DevOps, SRE, or related engineering experience owning production services and pipelines.
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider and a container orchestration platform, with strong infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management skills.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and build systems at scale, including tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bazel, or Gradle.
- Proficiency with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry, using metrics, logs, and traces for operational decisions.
- Ability to manage assignments with multiple inputs and deliverables, understand connections across workstreams, and lead cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence peers, support change, and facilitate technical discussions.
