Base Salary
$97k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services and REST APIs using Python, Java, and JavaScript/Node.js.
- Design enterprise system integrations and extend or integrate with ArcGIS Enterprise.
- Build data ingestion, processing, geoprocessing, GIS automation, and distributed data workflows.
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud or containerized environments.
- Design secure, service-based architectures and support enterprise authentication, proxies, and middleware services.
- Support reliability, testing, debugging, monitoring, logging, and observability for distributed services.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
- Professional experience developing backend services with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, and Java.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs and service-based architectures.
- Experience extending or integrating with ArcGIS Enterprise or similar enterprise geospatial platforms.
- Familiarity with geoprocessing workflows, proxies, middleware services, and automation of GIS or data processing tasks.
- Experience with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong software and system design, testing, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- U.S. citizenship and an active or current within-two-years Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems, or a STEM-related field.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, Esri certification, CompTIA Security+ certification, cloud platform experience, monitoring and observability tools, DevSecOps practices, ArcGIS Enterprise SDKs, geospatial services, enterprise authentication, and relational or spatial databases.
