Base Salary
$120k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve the cloud infrastructure platform using infrastructure as code practices.
- Support the development and operation of CI/CD pipelines for secure software deployments.
- Build and operate infrastructure using container orchestration such as EKS and Kubernetes.
- Write automation scripts and tooling to reduce toil and improve system reliability.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
- Collaborate with software development and systems integration teams on end-to-end solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
- Work with security teams to meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
- Help build and improve Scout’s internal developer portal and developer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least four years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer, systems administrator, or software engineer.
- Working knowledge of Python, Shell, Go, or Ruby.
- Hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Harness.io, or ArgoCD.
- Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Exposure to Terraform, Crossplane, Pulumi, or CDK.
- Familiarity with Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow with support from senior engineers.
