Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of complex SaaS solutions and large ERP systems.
- Perform full-stack engineering across front-end applications, back-end APIs, platform tooling, and microservices.
- Define technical strategies, roadmaps, architecture guidance, coding patterns, review criteria, and team conventions.
- Design and implement AI-enabled engineering solutions, including LLM-backed workflows, agentic systems, tool-calling patterns, and model evaluation.
- Design and ship agent capabilities inside products, including agent architecture, tool interfaces, prompt and context design, memory, retrieval, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop validation.
- Own complex work from requirements and specification review through testing, deployment, and production operations.
- Investigate functional, integration, scalability, reliability, and performance issues and make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Drive engineering quality through testing, CI/CD, DevOps practices, observability, release engineering, and developer documentation.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical coaching, and guidance on AI-assisted development.
- Collaborate with product managers, analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building software in a product or SaaS environment.
- Fluency with Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Python, and related frameworks; C# or Java experience is a plus.
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into coherent designs covering service boundaries, data models, API and event contracts, failure modes, capacity, and cost.
- Experience running highly available production services at scale, evolving systems under load, migrating without downtime, and diagnosing failures across service boundaries.
- Deep experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure automation, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, code review, test automation, observability, release engineering, and DevOps practices.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, secure design, and applied security for enterprise software.
- Experience delivering software through an agent-assisted lifecycle and directing specialized agents across specification, design, implementation, testing, and review.
- Experience designing and shipping production agent capabilities with evaluation, observability, secure data handling, retrieval, guardrails, and structured outputs.
- Working knowledge of models across providers and the ability to evaluate them based on quality, latency, cost, reliability, and enterprise fit.
- Strong technical communication, judgment, governance, mentorship, and ability to influence engineering practices.
