Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of complex cloud-based SaaS solutions and large ERP systems.
- Perform full-stack engineering using front-end frameworks and back-end APIs.
- Define technical strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with product leadership.
- Develop AI-enabled solutions involving LLM workflows, agentic systems, tool-calling patterns, and model evaluation.
- Create architectural guidance, coding patterns, review criteria, domain context, and team conventions for engineers and AI tools.
- Investigate functional, integration, scalability, reliability, and performance issues through research, analysis, and proof of concept work.
- Design and deliver platform and tooling solutions using modern technologies and distributed architectures.
- Own tasks from specification review through testing and deployment while managing project timelines and deliverables.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical coaching, and guidance on AI-assisted development.
- Drive adoption of improved tools, practices, and technologies that increase quality, efficiency, customer experience, and team effectiveness.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience in a product or SaaS environment.
- Proficiency with multiple programming languages and frameworks, including Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Python, C#, Java, and .NET Core.
- Experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and highly available production services.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, containerization, infrastructure automation, and operational practices for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Deep experience with continuous integration and delivery, code review, test automation, observability, release engineering, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, secure design, and application security principles.
- Demonstrated experience building or guiding LLM and agent-based solutions involving prompt and context design, tool orchestration, structured outputs, and human-in-the-loop validation.
- Experience working with multiple LLMs or AI providers and evaluating tradeoffs involving quality, latency, cost, reliability, safety, and enterprise suitability.
- Understanding of production AI patterns including retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation frameworks, observability, prompt management, guardrails, fallback strategies, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated output, define validation standards, identify risks, and maintain accountability for technical decisions.
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, mentorship, and technical leadership skills.
