Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and long-term evolution of private equity and private credit investment systems.
- Lead features end to end by designing, coding, operating, and maintaining applications, data pipelines, transformations, views, and test suites.
- Establish engineering standards and mentor teams on software, infrastructure, security, data, and AI engineering practices.
- Build and deliver LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, and human-in-the-loop workflows using proprietary investment data.
- Design and operate production-grade distributed financial technology and AI solutions, including document ingestion, extraction, validation, and structuring pipelines.
- Apply AI-assisted development, testing, validation, and code review throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Review designs and builds, resolve complex technical problems, and work with the Architecture Review Board to promote responsible engineering and AI standards.
- Partner with Platform Engineering, Quantitative Investment Science, Data, DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Application Development teams to align technology strategies and platform capabilities.
- Apply data modeling, engineering, governance, quality, analytics, simulation, probabilistic modeling, and knowledge graph techniques to investment technology.
Requirements
- Distinguished Engineer-level experience architecting and leading implementation of large-scale systems for investment platforms and analytics engineering teams in investment management.
- 12+ years of software engineering and delivery experience preferred, including 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
- Hands-on, code-first experience with production software delivery, full-stack development, distributed systems, data engineering, and AI engineering.
- Proficiency in Python or Java, with Python preferred, and full-stack development using TypeScript and Node.
- Experience with FastAPI-based microservices, GraphQL, gRPC, CI/CD pipelines, data modeling, ETL/ELT, data quality, analytics, and Snowflake or equivalent cloud warehouses.
- Experience with real-time and streaming data technologies, containerized applications, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS or EKS, and major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Practical experience developing MCP and FastMCP tool-integrated agentic systems, LLM solutions, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, autonomous and multi-agent architectures, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
- Experience with language model platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models, including fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific extraction tasks.
- Experience architecting document ingestion pipelines involving OCR, layout-aware parsing, normalization, PDFs, Word, Excel, scanned files, and tools such as Azure Document Intelligence or LlamaParse.
- Hands-on experience with custom extraction libraries such as Tesseract, Docling, PyMuPDF, Camelot, and Tabula.
- Experience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Claude Code.
- Preferred experience with DBT, Dagster, Airflow, Azure data tooling, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, or comparable cloud AI platforms.
- Knowledge of financial markets, investment systems, private equity, private credit, simulation-based and probabilistic modeling, forecasting, portfolio construction, allocation, decision support, and knowledge graphs.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science preferred, or equivalent experience.

- Base salary range of $200,000-$210,000 plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and potential long-term reward programs.
