Responsibilities
- Improve services across their lifecycle, including inception, design, deployment, operation, and refinement.
- Provide system design consulting, develop software platforms and frameworks, perform capacity planning, and support launch reviews.
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
- Scale systems through automation and drive changes that improve reliability and engineering velocity.
- Practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience leading projects.
- 3 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, Kubernetes administration and scaling experience, core SRE experience, monitoring and logging expertise, Golang or Python proficiency, and Linux/UNIX and networking knowledge.
