Responsibilities
- Plan testing approaches and test-data creation activities from business requirements, solution designs, and functional specifications.
- Design functional and non-functional use cases and test cases to verify business objectives and requirements.
- Maintain and execute test scripts using test management tools and report testing progress and status.
- Identify, track, investigate, reproduce, and verify resolution of issues found during testing.
- Provide feedback on product limitations and key challenges identified during testing.
- Take responsibility for product life cycle quality while participating in agile team activities.
- Train and mentor others in software testing methodologies to improve software quality and reduce quality risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Preferred experience with Energy, EMS/GMS, and SCADA systems, including Automatic Generation Control, Generation Planning, Economic Dispatch, and Reserve Management.
- Knowledge of QA testing principles and experience building automated tests are preferred.
- Experience with Zephyr Scale, Jira, Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, NUnit, or TestNG is preferred.
- Programming experience with C# or Java is preferred.
- Ability to develop innovative quality solutions and make decisions that may significantly affect contracts.
- Diversified knowledge of engineering, electric utilities, and related functions, plus in-depth knowledge of quality assurance programs, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Must already have work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in the US.
