Base Salary
$175k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build trading and money-movement technology for the Broker Dealer platform.
- Design, build, scale, and maintain core backend software components.
- Solve backend scaling, software design, optimization, and distributed-systems challenges.
- Balance delivery of platform features with system stability, scale, quality, performance, and security.
- Lead and manage projects spanning one or more teams.
- Mentor and help grow other engineers while collaborating in small engineering groups.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in at least one object-oriented language, preferably Java.
- 5+ years of professional experience with SQL and relational databases, including schema design and detailed SQL queries.
- Strong command of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience working in large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend software components.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-team projects while considering delivery tradeoffs and maintaining quality, performance, and security.
