Base Salary

$175k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build trading and money-movement technology for the Broker Dealer platform.
  • Design, build, scale, and maintain core backend software components.
  • Solve backend scaling, software design, optimization, and distributed-systems challenges.
  • Balance delivery of platform features with system stability, scale, quality, performance, and security.
  • Lead and manage projects spanning one or more teams.
  • Mentor and help grow other engineers while collaborating in small engineering groups.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in at least one object-oriented language, preferably Java.
  • 5+ years of professional experience with SQL and relational databases, including schema design and detailed SQL queries.
  • Strong command of algorithms and data structures.
  • Experience working in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend software components.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-team projects while considering delivery tradeoffs and maintaining quality, performance, and security.
