Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software features using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
- Design and code unit tests and test infrastructure to verify Entrust software functionality.
- Set up development environments using Spring, Spring Boot, Docker, and AWS.
- Build and manage code with Gradle, Git, Jira, Confluence, and open-source tools.
- Coordinate development activities with a team of senior developers working on Entrust Identity as a Service.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate Computer Science or Software Engineering program.
- Have completed at least two years of coursework and indicate third- or fourth-year status on the resume.
- Be located in Ottawa and able to commit to a full-time eight-month internship.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, time management, planning, communication, writing, teamwork, and customer awareness.
- Preferred: experience programming in several languages and familiarity with Mac OS or Unix/Linux.
- Preferred: interest in authentication, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, X.509, smart cards, DevOps, AWS, and Docker.
- Preferred: understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and tools for managing, building, and testing code.
