Responsibilities
- Support the development of new features from design through implementation under the guidance of senior developers.
- Write, test, and debug code while participating in code reviews and maintaining coding standards.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Document new features and enhancements for maintainability and understanding.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and seek feedback and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and seeking a co-op or internship opportunity.
- Have proficiency in TypeScript or similar languages, with TypeScript preferred.
- Have familiarity with at least one front-end framework such as React.
- Have a basic understanding of back-end languages and frameworks such as Node.js.
- Have familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, attention to detail, ownership, and prioritization skills.
- Have an excellent command of written and verbal English.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to AWS or Google Cloud, experience with REST APIs, and experience in a high-velocity startup or AI-first environment.
- Be willing to undergo a criminal records check upon hire and comply with Solink’s security policies and standards.
- Be a Canadian citizen, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada.
