Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for automating Nutanix solutions.
- Plan, design, and build automation and orchestration offerings for private and hybrid cloud environments.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects and program management teams in an agile development environment.
- Develop high-level test approaches and detailed test plans covering usability, scale, performance, and security.
- Automate feature test cases and regression runs for subsequent releases.
- Analyze failures, determine root causes, file defects, and drive them to closure.
- Engage with customers and support teams to resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Experience in software development or test automation using Python, Golang, or Java, with Python preferred.
- Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, and problem solving.
- Experience testing systems products such as file systems, storage systems, databases, operating systems, hypervisors, or networking.
- Experience with KVM, VMware, Hyper-V, or Xen virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of Chef, Puppet, Vagrant, Ansible, or Salt configuration management tools is preferred.
- Experience with Jira, GitHub, or Artifactory is preferred.
- Experience building Jenkins or automated test frameworks.
- Experience with containerized application systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to debug complex distributed applications.
- Detail orientation, strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, multitasking ability, independence, respect for differences, and professionalism are required.
