Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Python software for deploying, configuring, and validating Nutanix private and hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop agentic workflows including prompt engineering, agent skills, tool definitions, guardrails, and evaluation harnesses.
- Determine which automation belongs in deterministic code versus agent workflows while keeping the trusted path repeatable.
- Build and operate containerized cloud-native workloads, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code automation.
- Automate validation, identify regressions, analyze failures, determine root causes, and drive fixes to completion.
- Demonstrate technical work to Solutions Architects, product teams, customers, and senior stakeholders and create usable documentation.
- Engage with customers and support teams to resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience building production software, with substantial depth in at least one role.
- Required production-grade Python expertise and ability to own a Python codebase.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic tooling, including prompt engineering, agent skills or tool definitions, and testing and evaluation of non-deterministic systems.
- Strong object-oriented programming, algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and debugging skills for complex distributed applications.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, automated CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with a systems product such as storage, virtualization, networking, databases, or operating systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and confidence presenting technical work to customers and senior stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Golang, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, GitHub, Artifactory, or modern CI systems.
- Preferred background as a platform engineer, SRE, or production-code-writing solutions architect, plus public technical work such as GitHub projects, open-source contributions, or published technical writing.
